WASHINGTON, DC – S-3 Group announced today that Marty Reiser will join the firm as a Principal on the Government Relations team.

Reiser will advise clients on a variety of issues and will develop a Health Care and Tax practice for the firm. The new practice will focus on critical issues to health care clients as well as the growing challenges faced by many clients that must manage the rapidly evolving impacts of new health care and tax policies.

Reiser is a skilled public policy expert with deep relationships from a long career on Capitol Hill. He served as Policy Director and Director of Business Coalitions for House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) where he worked on a daily basis with other Leadership offices and committees of jurisdiction to develop legislation, set agenda and initiatives and implement strategies to pass bills on the floor. He led on all major legislation for the Whip operation including health, tax, trade, pension/retirement, and welfare legislation. Reiser also served as a professional staff member of the House Ways and Means Committee where he was responsible for Title I of the Affordable Care Act, health-related tax policy, employer sponsored insurance, economic impact of health policy, and Medicare policies. In addition, Reiser served in several roles, including Chief of Staff, to U.S. Rep. Dan Miller (R-FL) as well as various advocacy positions for Xerox Corporation and Citizens for a Sound Economy.

“Marty is a perfect fit for our team. He deepens our bench in the tax and health care space and brings a sophisticated understanding of complex policy issues,” said S-3 Group Managing Partner John Scofield.

Reiser joins the bipartisan team at S-3 Group that is anchored by veterans of the House and Senate leadership, key Congressional committees, and political campaigns. Last year the firm added Michael Long, former Senior Advisor to Speaker Pelosi; Jose Ceballos, former Director of Government Relations for the National Air Traffic Controllers Association; and Olivia Kurtz, former Chief of Staff to Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME). The team provides clients with unique insights and strategy that deliver public policy and regulatory objectives.
