Martin Delgado

After working for the Senate Interior and Environmental Appropriations Subcommittee, Delgado moved to the House side, working predominantly for the House Appropriations Committee, including six years as Clerk and Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies. During his two decades of government service, Delgado oversaw the $121 billion spending bill that encompasses the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and food and nutrition programs like WIC and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Additionally, Delgado sharpened his Ag skills while serving at the USDA’s Animal and Planet Health Inspection Service as Senior Budget Analyst.

Delgado also retains extensive knowledge of the defense domain, spending several years as the primary minority staffer for the House Military Construction and Veteran Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee.
